The Bear Lake Arts Council will sponsor a photography seminar October 24 - 26, 2008 at the National Oregon / California Trail Center in Montpelier Idaho. Highlights include:

Photo Contest - Everyone who buys a ticket can enter one framed ready-to-hang photo (any subject) and drop it off from 6 - 9 PM Friday, October 24 or 8 AM - 9 AM Saturday, October 25. Prizes - 1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50.
Featured presenters - Saturday, October 25 starting 9AM:
1 - Roger Boe, Pocatello, Idaho - "People and Places, the joy of travel photography". Please bring up to 3 travel images on a CD (up to 5 mb) for group discussion.
2 - Alan Stauffer, Afton, Wyoming - "Getting in Your Face, closeup portraits" and "Six Quick and Easy PhotoShop Fix-ups".
3 - Ann Torrence, Salt Lake City, Utah - "Working In Projects" with a discussion on her Highway 89 project which will soon be published as her first book.
Saturday, 6:30 - Supper at the wagon circle in the Oregon Trail Center (extra cost).
Saturday, 8 PM - Contest judging at the Oregon Trail Center.
Sunday, October 26 - A photo map will be available for tours of the Bear Lake Valley. Possible subjects include Bear Lake, Paris Spring, barns, fall color, ranches, cowboys, and wildlife.
Tours of the National Oregon California Trail Center will be available at a discount for seminar participants and their families for all three days during normal business hours.
