Our club had three major prize winners and numerous honorable mentions in the 2007 photo contest sponsored by Valley Pharmacy in Afton, Wyoming. There were more than 700 entries. The big winners were:
Bernice Parslow - Maverik Outdoor Adventure Award, for a photo of a little girl on a sled.
Jim Parker - Valley Pharmacy Award, for a sunset photo.
Ross Walker - Valley Pharmacy Award, for a photo of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.
Ross Walker has been elected as the first President of the newly formed Rocky Mountain Photo Council.
At an awards ceremony at the Oregon Trail Center, Linda and Ross Walker were thanked for their donations and sales of photography to the National Center for Frontier Communities in New Mexico.
Bruce Grayum has a display at US Bank at 672 Washington Street in Montpelier.
Linda and Ross Walker were big winners at the 2007 Portneuf Valley Photographic Society's juried show in Pocatello. Ross won the Grand Prize and second place in manipulated prints. Linda won first place in regular and honorable mention in manipulated prints.
Sharp Shooters club members won a large number of ribbons at the 2008 Bear Lake County Fair. Bruce Grayum won Best of Show and Ross Walker won Best Black and White.

Linda Walker's Bear Lake wildlife refuge photo is on the October 2008 cover of Room-2-Roam's real estate magazine, and Cameron Marlowe's Bear Lake Valley photo is on the cover of the November / December issue.
